For the Sake of All

This week on Stay Tuned we’ll be exploring Saint Louis University’s and Washington University’s newly-released, groundbreaking research contained in the “For the Sake of All” report, which examines the often-surprising relationship between race and health outcomes. The difference in life expectancy between different zip codes in the St. Louis region is staggering—18 years in some cases. And these health disparities are currently costing us billions of dollars. What can we do about it?

We’re joined by lead researcher Jason Purnell from Washington University and others to break down the data and explore solutions. How can educators, community leaders and citizens come together?

In one year alone, the loss of life associated with low levels of education and poverty among African Americans was estimated at $3.3 billion.”
