Nick Semenkovich

M.D./Ph.D. student at Washington University


Nick Semenkovich went to college at MIT, where he double-majored in biology and computer science. Semenkovich is currently an M.D./Ph.D. student at Washington University, working in the lab of Dr. Jeffrey Gordon on studies of the human microbiome.

Semenkovich is passionate about science and health policy, and advocates for expanded access to medical education and knowledge. He and his classmates are developing a non-profit, White Coat Academy, which is dedicated to producing open medical resources. In science and health policy, he advocates for improved immunizations of healthcare workers via the Vaccinate Doctors Initiative.
