Mark Norwine

Subject of Walking Man Documentary on Bipolar Disorder

Mark Norwine graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science Secondary Education and the University of Missouri St. Louis in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Learning Disabilities.  After graduation, Mark taught five years at the High School level, Geography and Sociology, Coached Volleyball, Basketball and Track. Then Mark spent nearly 15 years in the sporting goods industry before returning to the schools as Program Director for Bullying Prevention with CHADS Coalition.  Mark enjoys working with Committees, staff and students and spend much time mentoring, training and creating awareness in Mental Health related topics.  Recently given a new role at CHADS, which includes marketing all of the resources we offer.  CHADS has grown from a handful of dedicated employees to a staff of nearly 25.

Outside of the office, Mark has been married for close to thirty years, with three children, one of whom, Eric, worked for Will Ferrell in Los Angeles at Funny or Die production company.  His other children, Laura is a graduate of Saint Louis University, and Ben enjoys playing Basketball and Volleyball for Duchesne High School.   His wife, Lisa, is Development Director at SSM Health Care in St. Louis.
